I have no idea what trucking will be like, so I'm not even imagining that. The only thing I can imagine is my down time right now. I hope that in two weeks I am asking different questions.

Really? I had an unlimited data plan from Sprint and they cancelled it because I "used too much data".Dreamboat Thanks this.

I've had it for a few years. Never a problem. Have used up to 25-30 GB a month more than once between myself and kids (mostly them) and never heard a thing.

I am with Verizon in the U.S. (I'm Canadian and cross border cell phone usage is out if the question)
I have 10GB and use the iPhone 6 from Verizon to "tether" or throw off a wifi signal for my Canadian iPhones. We have 2 Canadian iPhones as 2 Macbooks and an iPad tethered to the Verizon phone everyday and have only once gone over that data. We download audiobooks, films and TV shows through iTunes, stay up to date on TTR, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
In fairness, I use my iPhone on Canada to tether the Verizon phone as I had a few apps on that phone that I use daily.
It was $15/month to add the little wifi router thing at Verizon, and it had the same amount of data. So we just throw off a signs with the phone instead. I think the bill is $105/mo and we ported our existing U.S. Phone number from a different company. Verizon coverage is way better than ATT and years ahead of T-Mobile in the areas we travel (mostly mid-west to eastern seaboard, North and south).
In my experience, I had a job where we used Qualcomm for dispatches and paper logs, a company that had no qualcomms and paper logs and now using a Qualcomm with e-logs. It is a company specific thing. I text my dispatcher, email the office personnel, Qualcomm load info and logs and call if I need something immediately. Again, they should let you know how they want it done.
As 2 women on the road, we tend to avoid the truck stop lounges all together when there's free time, since even while sitting down having dinner male drivers will offer us money for sex in a restaurant and try to invite themselves to sit with us or follow us out to the truck. You'll find what works for you and hopefully there won't be much downtime to worry about anyways.Dreamboat Thanks this. -
Wtf??
I need to see a picture if your going to make that claim sorry but I don't believe it and if your good looking I would try to get in your pants the old fashion way with alcohol and smooth talk why offer money? I have been driving for years never once seen a driver harassing a women for sex and I have never seen a women driver I would have sex with so something seems far fetched. -
Actually, I can make that claim without proving anything to you (see claim I posted above, without a picture for your benefit)
I'm glad you don't see women being harassed and propositioned in truck stops. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. Judging by the number of prostitutes working the truck stop parking lots, I can't tell if you're kidding or blind that they are plenty of drivers "shopping" for women at these businesses. Just this week some creepy guy followed me around the store asking if I was "with anybody yet" and when I finally ducked into the bathroom to get away, he was waiting for me right where I left him outside the bathroom.
