I've been on the reefer fleet for a few years now. I run a lot of I-5 between socal and Tacoma. I stay out a month at a time and usually get over 2500 miles a week. I've got a 2014 KW T680 that came with a fridge and inverter. Ive had a few issues with the truck as a team had it before me and put some serious miles on it. Pay and benefits are pretty decent. I heard from a newer driver I ran into at Foster Farms that he got a sign on bonus when he started last month. Hope that helps.

It does help..really appreciate the input, Thank`s BigRig!
does the company & dm`s/fm`s take care of their drivers?...&/or treated with respect?

Obviously all co have their issues but IDC seem & appear to be one of the better places to get on with..plus appear to have well taken care of clean looking equipment,

yea website states upto 5k sign on bonus for reefer side,
was told truck can be taken home on days off but curious to know what if I have no room for trailer? they allow bobtail home & leave trailer at customer?..I asked recruiter but she did`nt have positive answer so kinda concerned if after hired I cant` bobtail or not allowed to leave truck n trailer at truck stop somewhere closeby to house...do you know if any customers out of Watsonville area allow trailers or combo to be left on property?

Closet yard/terminal to me would be Lathrop

I've had both good and bad FM's. I have Matt currently and he does a good job for me. I think truck parking is based on your home area. I live in Tacoma so I just park at the terminal.

The yard down there is in French Camp. Where do you live? I can ask my FM about customers and parking where ever you are.

Home area would be in the Santa Cruz/Monterey Ca. area, about 2-3 hrs away from French Camp,
French Camp & Lathrop are adjacent to one another...have heard they have a steady customer in
    Watsonville, Ca.

What about those "off limits" truck stops" in Calif?..any chance you can share list?
I`ve read older threads but... since your current driver how strict are they on idle policy?
    Thanks! :thumbright:

most are in cali and on the I15 around barstow/hesperia area. The pilot and TA down there are a no no. I don't think there's any restricted stops on the I5 but list could have been updated since I last worked there 6 months ago. Not a current driver anymore but no one ever told me anything about my idling. Most trucks only idle if temp is below 20 or above 70 or 75. Something like that. My truck would stay on in any temp so that was never an issue.

Thanks Samx1....yea I heard about the barstow area one,
can you or anyone else tell me what qualcomm system they use?(omnitrac?)..
and if system they use has or does co. allow company drivers to use the optional navigation app in system?

Sorry all, for the seemingly endless questions...just trying to find out as much current info upfront on
    IDC before committing.

yes its the omnitrac qualcomm. You can use the navigation on the qualcomm but when I was there the dispatch option wasn't fully functional so you had to input the address of the shipper/receiver manually on the qualcomm gps which was annoying. A nice option is the off duty driving which they allow you to use. My only complain was the lack of stacked loads on the dry van side. I came from swift and before I got to a receiver I all ready had a preplan coming in to get me out of the area. With interstate sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes after delivering to get a preplan I had to bug my dispatcher lol they do stack some loads on you once in a while. Could be totally different with reefer or a different dispatcher. If you like the i5 and i15 then they are a decent company. I hope to get on with them again on the 4x4 fleet before leasing my own truck onto them.
