Does you husband work for Ozark by any chance? I had one take my mirror off at the flying j in Carlisle, PA 3 weeks ago. I chased the guy and wound up snapping my Achilles Tendon before I could catch him. Now I'm out of work because of that Joker. He probably is thinking the same thing you are, but guess what, he is wrong.
Is this normal??

HardlyWorkingNeverHome Thanks this.

Let me ask you this. Did the alleged incidents happen at night? -
As a couple of people here already mentioned, it is possible to damage another vehicle and not even know it. It's one of the tricky things about driving a semi: these vehicles are large and heavy enough that you could run over stuff without feeling a thing. Trust me, I know from first-hand experience; I did it a couple of times when I started out a few years ago.

Could be bad luck.
You say bogus, but are there police/accident reports?
Plus a bunch of drivers at the truck stop last night were talking about insurance fraud scams. People going into reverse at a traffic light and claiming you rear ended them, jaywalking into traffic.
I guess unemployment is so bad in some places people are willing to play lawsuit lottery. -

i have had motorists try bogus claims several times. when i pulled a bucket it happened a couple times. 1st time car claimed a "rock" flew off my load of fine sand and broke his windshield. next time a guy claimed a piece of double ground mulch hit his windshield. thats only 2 of a lot of times motorists trying to get a freebie. never ever had another trucker claim anything in 28 years.

oh yeah, none of these jokers claims ever were substantiated so none were ever paid anything from my insurance. there are scammers out there but if you have your #### in order there is no basis for their claims. you have to be aware, cars dont just suddenly appear from no where.
