Driver brought a back haul , (I know, an ugly word.) from Dallas to mobile for $1250. Our head haul to Decature pays $2500. Load was refused in Mobile because they are not ready for the loads until Sept. They want the load back in Dallas for the same $1250. Does anybody know what the legal options are?
Need a quick answer - back haul load refused

if the receiver refused the load there isnt much you can do. you either have to take the load back to tx for the agreed upon rate or pay to have someone else do it. the decatur load is good money so if you can call a trusted broker and have the load put on another trailer somehow just sub the load out. otherwise your gonna have to take the hit and take the load back to tx. especially if it is a regular/well paying repeat account. a service failure like that can really make your ### feel raw. hope that helps ya

Ooida says negotiate better rate or put in storage. I'll update with outcome but it isn't going back for $1250.
