    ... at least from the Midland Yard.

    We have the biggest doucebag safety manager ever. His stupid name is Matt M. People is already quitting because of his stupidity. He's a former DOT officer and he thinks he's running a platoon. SunCoast as a company is good. Just stay away from the Midland yard. Or wait til this POS leaves Suncoast. Which i doubt because the morons in Houston love his way of handling problems with employees.
    Im just waiting to hear from a company that i applied for so that i can leave this place.

    Sure thing. He's running this place military style. Any little mistake you will be written up. For example. A friend of mine ( he already quit because of him ) was written up for wearing a non-FR sweater while driving on the highway. Houston installed dash cams in all of the units. He's like a little kid with a new toy. He's using the dashcams to write up people for the most minimum reason. Its just unbearable. Im all for safety so dont take me wrong. But this ### is just taking it to the extreme of micromanaging. You feel like walking in egg-shells. Ask any Suncoast driver if you happen to meet em in a truck stop or out in the fields. They will tell you wonders about that pickhead.

    I won't work anywhere that has driver facing cams.

    I hauled gas in Houston for 7 years, never worked for Suncoast. Though I remember when they changed from load pay to hourly .

    After that it totally sucked to get behind them at the racks.

    The joke was they changed their name to Slowcoast.

    Sounds like he's running things according to what the dot requires. And the op doesn't like following the rules. So it sounds like the op will be outs trucking sooner then planned.

    I've been with the company for almost 4 years. I do follow rules. I just dont like been harrased by a moron turned safety manager. Neither my coworkers. Just last night one of the most laid back , nicest guy quit because of him. So if you dont work here , you really have no idea how bad it is. Youre just assuming. But thanks for the input tho.

    That being said. If you want high pay in trucking. the camera is a part of the job. Right now companies are using them as a tool to correct or run off drivers they don't want. Cheaper then paying unemployment. Are there laws against the use of the cameras. Yes and very strict laws too. However, there is no funds to enforce the laws. That's what your safety guy knows. So he is being told to pick on or punish drivers over every thing he can. Or other wise he wouldn't be saying anything at all. Unless it was safety related. You understand what is going on now. He's being told to harrass drivers by the corporates

    Last part. The reason there doing that. Is money. Your probably making a lot. And they don't want to pay it. So there targeting drivers at a higher pay scale. And not bother the drivers at a lower pay scale. That's always what it's about. Money! So you can Chuck all the other crap you think, or what you are hearing. It's not even close to why they are after you

    So from what I'm reading he wrote up a guy for not wearing the proper safety clothes. Sounds like a bad guy to work for.......

    Rich people only care about and respect money!!!!! They value the toilet paper in the bathroom more then they do people. Just made it real easy for you. Your next job should go better with is bit of advice.
