I've had some great weeks but most aren't that good in fact a lot of weeks suck.....our rates are 80-90% of the going rates sometimes, then Eagles takes there 25% plus after hours and weekends your basically on your own unless u take the initiative to plan yourself before then....it's a work in progress as I have been saying since I got here....we really need some good customer freight! If u have leasing experience and u have experience looking for your own loads or u have a large enough cash pile to ease the pain then I wouldn't recommend it otherwise....and I'm serious!Roknric and Lonestar16 Thank this.

Rayon, you fr8monkey, how long have you two been with Eagle?

OK! I missed posting on Wednesday, my first day of orientation. The first thing of note was the fact that the previous class that was supposed to be finishing up weren't close to being done at all. Eagle requires you to be "hired" before you can pick a truck. There were several complaints that the process of getting "hired" was taking to long. Just because you are approved to go to orientation does not mean you are hired.
Our class got to work on the videos and drug tests the first day. The videos do seem to be completely unrelated to eagle lease ops, but there are a few bits of information in each video that does apply, so you just have to go through them. Also, you can see where they have completely deleted some of the videos because they were totally irrelevant..
The building has a cafeteria and orientation students get to choose from a few different options and a drink.
The class is very loosely managed and if you need to make a phone call or you want to go take a break you just do it.
The second day we got briefings from Mike from safety, Lisa from Payroll, and Brad from operations. Before lunch they took us over to Quality to look for our trucks.
When I got there I was stunned. Well over 100 trucks. Unfortunately, there were absolutely no trucks available to eagle lease ops, except for International ProStars with Maxxforce engines out of warranty. They looked nationwide and there are absolutely no new vehicles available anywhere and there are no vehicles newer than 2012 unless you were again willing to take a prostar with maxxforce.
If you wanted the much acclaimed International lonestar, you have to show up every morning at the quality location and they will pick whoever shows up first to get the new vehicles they received that day.
Currently its running about 3 weeks before you will get a lonestar.
Eagle will pay you 50.00 per day starting approximately 12 days after you start orientation. I say approximately because you only get the 50.00 7 days after you are "hired".
The cafeteria is closed on the weekends so they give you a 50.00 comdata check for food for the weekend, spend it how you want.
Road tests were simple and you do not have to do any backing.
Im still hopeful something will work out to get a truck. Currently there is no option of flying to another location to get one because they are overloaded with Pro stars and simply wont let us get any other truck and no one wants the prostar. not sure how the stalemate will be solved.
Any Questions? -
Pit, I would highly recommend you talk to your recruiter and get a guarantee on how long you will be here before you can have your truck or how much you will be paid until you get your truck and when that pay will start.
Unless you want a couple weeks vacation to relax lol. -

I'm really only getting good or nearly good rates from coyote, tql,Echo and jb hunt.command and CHR have really fallen by the wayside as there rates just really suck! And the only time I have used xpo it was a disaster.....

I'm with the parent company. I applied with both but my recruiter pushed this way. Probably more money for her. Anyway, you choose your own loads and where you want to go over there, correct?
