Hey there.
Just wondering if any of you guys out there who normally truck North Sask have been sitting around. Anyone here affected by any of the provincial fires?
I wondered if frac was going to get even slower if the fires were going to expand in North BC myself.

Haven't run that way in sometime but I think it would have an impact.

I wondered if those guys were sittin on their couches or if the companies found other work for them.
-
I would think they would send them to other places if possible. You have money tied up in equipment so you have to generate income to pay for it.

OTR drivers might find work elsewhere but when the forests dry up and fire season comes along, it's too risky to log so it's not uncommon for logging trucks and drivers to sit until the rain comes.

So in essence, this is not really out of the norm for them? They are prepared for the economic crunch? Kind of like oil and spring break up? -
Sarabeara Thanks this.

In 2003 in BC there was very little logging allowed due to fires. Many logging company choppers were use to list buckets of water and douse fires.
