have a 99 Kenwoth with a 1LW cat, when the air temperature gets above 80 F, and pulling hard.
It starts bucking as if the Jake head is stuck on. Have had it in to diagnose and no help as of yet.
No engine code is coming up, only does it in the top 3 gears.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge in the cab? Demand for fuel is highest in the higher gears, could be starving for fuel.

you could be getting air in you fuel system,check to make sure your fuel filter is tight and you secondary fuel filter too if you have one you could be sucking air in the system,,aslo could be your electronic accelerator pedal going bad
