IsTransmountain Road a good way to go to get around El Paso during rush hour assuming it's not snowing?

You mean when the drug cartels catapult cocaine over the border? That kind of snow?

I wouldn't recommend it if you're heavy. That's one nasty climb and descent... Not to mention some sharp-ish curves. Running light or empty isn't too bad.

If you're going west head north on 54 when 375 crosses it. Just before the NM border go west on Stan Roberts Sr Ave. Take it west to where the road t's. This will be MLK Jr Blvd. Don't turn north where the junction is for Chaparral. Follow MLK Jr north to the round-a-bout. Go west on Ohara Rd out of the round-a-bout and follow it to I-10.

If you're headed west get off at the Ohara Rd exit just before the TX line and reverse these directions.

This is how we run out of there to 54 when we load cattle at Santa Teresa.

If you come on 375 from the east and head north on 54 this is where you need to go west.

The Anthony gap/O'Hara Road is a far better way to get around than going over the Transmountain pass.
