Anybody have any recent info on these guys? I've seen the ads talked to the recruiters have the app filled out and everything just looking for some recent info. To be more clear I'm not looking for the dedicated van division or hotshot I'm looking into the flatbed side of it I've already been told that they don't have much coming out of my area bu ft have a lot going in and the recruiters seemed honest but Id like a drivers input on thins first hand. insurance seems cheap trailer rent seems a little high but I can live with it for a few months till I can buy my own.
Main questions are
1. Pay frequency
2. Stability
3. Agents (use theirs or should I go with outside agents I guess you can do that by the way it sounds)
4. What percentage do they take
5. Any hidden deductions I should know about that they won't tell me about
I've leased on once and it went south quick don't want that again so if anybody has any info on them that'd be great. Did a search but seemed like most guys pulled a van on the dedicated accounts.

I know with Jones its all about the agent you are loading with because of different rates, info I have is several years old, was 76% of 98% due to cargo ins. ded. pulling your own flat or step trailer, you can pull thru outside agents but will be paying theirs an jones % of load, if you pulled co. van it was close to no chose of next load, you can call agents off list to get a feel of what they load near you?

I was leased on with Jones in '07-'08 van division and I'm sure things are different 8 yrs later ! I was happy there, pay was 100% correct and you could get their base plate thru payroll deduct. They've been around since 1894, one of the very few companies still here a hundred years later. I was dispatched out of Copperas Cove, Tx. (VIA cell phone) Paper logs. Did dedicated Oxnard, Ca.-OKC, Ok. then broker load back to Ca.

You gotta work with the right agents to get good loads and you are welcome to look on your own boards and find loads. Pay is 74 percent of the freight pay. Any other stuff and surcharge money is 100 percent to you Last i checked. You can get the pay loaded into your fuel card usually within 2 to 3 days of sending in paperwork or you can opt for weekly or monthly payroll options. I run a step deck and constantly fill out my trailer. If you wanna wait around for the agents or the office to call you with some loads this will not work for you. But if you line up your own loads and have direct control and communication with the agents to increase your profits I would seriously consider it. It is very flexible and the potential for making money is there if you are willing to put in the time to get moving. They use Paper logs or electronic(laptop logs) or on board recorder if you would like. Tire discounts, fuel discounts etc. I am happy here.
