The Volvo was a way smoother ride, now this one is really good but the Volvo was like a Cadillac. The Volvo was Air ride all the way around. It also had a ton more room and I really liked the work station.

TennMan, does the tripak have the arctic feature? And is there only 1 on/off switch which is located in the box?

No, they don't come with that feature but the tri-pac uses the engine coolant system to cool the tri-pac. it's not a closed loop system where it has it's own coolant tank. You have an on/off switch on the dash and on the main panel in the bunk. The switch inside the tri-pac is mainly for maintenance to insure it doesn't start-up while working on the unit.

The artic feature has a separate heater kinda like the bunk heater to warm the engine coolant in extreme cold temps.

No that's not how it works at all..there isn't a separate heater.

The artic package has coolant lines running from the TriPak to the truck..when the apu runs it keeps the coolant up to temperature.
It kicks on and off through the night.
I didn't know I had one until the ThermoKing salesman showed me.
If you have a small radiator on the side of your TriPak you don't have one..easiest way to tell.
    Came that way from SFI.

Other thing they come with from SFI is the battery minder..leave your TriPak in standby mode and it will keep your batteries charged..no worrying about your fridge tripping the 12 volt cutoff.

    Hegemeister and TennMan Thank this.
