    I misunderstood what you said. I thought you were suggesting to take arm off steering box to straighten wheel.

    Never adjust your steering wheel center by moving the pitman arm to a different spline. It may center the steering wheel but you will gain wheel cut on one side and lose it from the other. Steering wheel air bags are not a big deal to work with. Just contact the truck manufacturer or dealer for a procedure to safely remove/install the air bag.
