for any drivers that are going out to Southern California... Interstate 10 east of Coachella is closed in both directions indefinitely due to the interstate washing out Caltrans is reporting the only date are suitable for that area is to run interstate 8 or interstate 40... But as always check yourself for a better possible detour.

My DBL has put me OOS because I have not done my annual Recert. I am 3 weeks overdue. Lol. Oh well!!!!

Was raining like a sob yesterday. Luckely I came in on the 15 and not the 10. 15 did have a river going over it in Victorville though. Heavy rains + Californian drivers is never a fun thing.

 

Got an e-mail from Rand McNally this morning about updates to their GPS/mapping "products", referencing the re-routing around I-10 that will be closed for a while.

Fortunately, I don't drive out there

Seriously, i could see it if you had a bunch of critical events or an accident or something, but it seems to me its a policy for the sake of having a policy.
