An employer can not run your SS number.

Oh, but a company can require a notarized letter documenting what you were doing, if they so want to. That individual company NEEDS that documentation, or they won't hire the applicant. Simple as that.

    G.Anthony Thanks this.

Do some of u read what others wrote ?
Or just hit quote button and respond ? With garbage.
Were did I say a company can not ask for a notarized letter explaining time off?
Please explain to me where I wrote that.

    This was not the argument.
The disagreement was whether it was mandatory or not on a 10 year.
I say it's not. That's a fact. A company can ask what they want.
That's their right. No one is arguing that.
    Face palm!
Just ignore something if u can't understand it. Save me time from responding you.

Yes. But the question is will they ?
No trucking company has ever run my social other then to see if it belongs to me. And that's it. Criminal records are pulled with combination of social dob address

What's I'm saying is that n trucking company I have reverted delt with has ever checked to find places I didn't work or worked for according to what was reported on my income tax return.

Not even high value haulers like the ones I have worked for. They don't do a back ground like a police dept.

Listen op: u see what people post and make ur mind up.

My money says just go to orientation and u will see that u will be fine.

Don't buy into what all the scared sheep say acting like this is some cia job ur applying for.

Lie ur ### off of u want. Chances of them catching u are slim. Ur dealing with a trucking company who will in turn lie to u me day.

    So who gives a ####.

Isn't lieing on a company application reported to DAC? Or doesn't that matter for non DOT employment history?

No, employers don't run your ss # to find out your employment record...that is not info that ss gives out. All that running your ss # means is that the company verifies it is your ss#, so they know they are hiring a person eligible to work in the usa, and you are not an illegal alien.

I would not worry about not reporting a job you only had for a week if it was not a driving job. If it was a driving job, you can always amend your application by sending in a letter with the info on it.

    NO. Abosultly not.

The only thing reported on your dac is
    dates of hire
    dates u left
if u quit or got fired
    if you are rehirable
your work quality (options are standard, other, or satisfactory)
    and if you are rehirable
    pee test results
    and accident/incident history

YOU CAN PULL YOR DAC FOR FREE ON LINE.
GOOGLE FREE DAC. TAKES LESS THEN A FEW DAYS TO GET A ACTUAL COPY IN HAND.
A PSP WILL COST YOU 104 AND YOU CAN GET IT INSTANTLY ON LINE.

NO were on your dac does it say if you lied on another job app in the past or not.
There is NO ONE who keeps track of that kind of info.

The only way you could get screwed for lieing on a job is if u kill someone or cause some major accident and they do a fbi level investigation on you. In which case your job history that you FORGOT about is not going to be your biggest problem.
