I am in need of new mufflers. I have been toying around with the idea of getting PP mufflers but really don't know if it is worth the price. Last I remember, I think they would cost me about 420.00. (210.00 each). 88.00 bucks for a regular old muffler does sound much better I have to admit. But if its worth the extra cost....
Thoughts???
PIttsburgh power mufflers..worth it or not?

Not worth the money. Instead order megaflows from summit racing for a bit over $100 And you even get free shipping. Pretty much the same muffler.
When you see the megaflow you'll understand its extra cost immediately. There is no comparing a standard replacement. -
Donaldson part # M100463 is what gets rebranded as "Pitts Power performance muffler" (excepting KW and Intl reverse flow mufflers) and they only cost about $90.

I'm pretty sure this has been addressed elsewhere on the forums, but as far as I know, the PP muffler is just a rebranded Donaldson. In fact, I know of someone who ordered a PP muffler that still had the Donaldson manufacturer sticker and part number on it.
(EDIT) Darn, rollin coal, you beat me to it! -
Yep, I got suckered and ordered some Pitts power mufflers years ago and can confirm they are indeed Donaldson with M100463 on them.
