1. You won't get fired for calling 911
2. Tanks and flats are NOT aerodynamic
3. Did my last 34 with a load on and went fishing.![]()
4. Driving 11 isn't the hard part. The hard part is getting everything to go smoothly with shippers, receivers, traffic, weather.... etc. so it won't eat into your 14.
5. I say teams *can give you a little bit of flexibility, but team loads usually mean 'get it there NOW!'.
6. Felt comfortable pretty quickly, however there will always be situations that make you feel uneasy.
7. Backing? You'll have off days sometimes for a while. It's just part of it.
8. Miles... eh, I can't recall. Can't recall being home more than once a month either. Just get your experience and the rest will fall into place. Do good and you'll become one of the favorites.

Also +++on google maps. Very handy tool to look at ahead of time. Most information I ever get is an address and a phone number. Use satellite imaging to plan your last few miles and to confirm the address they gave you is where the load is going.... not some office building. You can see the little trucks. Lol
TheJrodTest and 2Girls_1Truck Thank this. -
I don't know about tankers, but I got better mileage pulling a skate board than I did pulling a dryvan.

Stop the truck. Turn on your hazard lights. And call the local police dept. In most cases, you won;t get cited. Generally, they would rather assist you in getting turned around than to deal with an accident report. Which, if you decide to turn around without assistance and are involved in an accident, it's pretty much your fault and you will be cited, fined or worse depending on the severity.dylan carter said: ↑ok I wrote the first question wrong, not HIT a bridge, but like have one up coming, stop before you hit, but be stuck on that street? how does this work if you cant turn around?Click to expand...
Lots of folks will attempt to turn around on their own. They get in a hurry because traffic is backing up and getting impatient. Those folks usually end up on youtube when they tear the crap out of their equipment or drop in a ditch or hit something costly. You'll see a lot on their if you search for Swift but those guys are by no means the only ones. They just get crapped on more because they work for Swift.
