Truck is a 2004 w900 with 520,000 easy miles on it. It came from Allied Van Lines running trade shows which never seen any real heavy weight. This place also has a 2005 w900 with 425,000 miles from the same place (Allied) on it but has a twin turbo set up and that worries me. The 04 is a single turbo which i see as less of a problem even tho it has more miles..

Single turbo is the way to go. Mbn wasn't the best engine, but it can easily be made to run like a 6nz. Do the research and spend the money to do it. I believe rollin coal has the same engine and did exactly this

Thanks! I have been doing some reading up on it.. Talked to the guy's at cat today about and got some good info from them.. Hell the even acted like the would help me do it,, He said there is way's to get it done!! He also said the two engines are basically the same othe than the ECM something about the turbo..

I wouldn't advice the cat guys do it with the ecm reflash. Talk to independent shops you know. The only difference with mbn and 6nz, the turbo, pistons, junky camshaft, and injectors (they have same fuel flow). The mbn I have gets 5.1 mpg. Used to be 475 hp but previous tuned up to 500 HP. Don't know where did he went to. Just added new bar&plated air cooler. Noticed quicker throttle response and turbo breathing better. That's just the first step for me.

Question truckers? Where would a guy find a used 6NZ ECM?? Junk yard Ebay / Where?
-
Never mind!! I see Ebay has loads of them for sell.

You don't need another ECM. Just reflash your original.
