Yes, that ticket in VA had a late fee along with interest. I have never heard such a thing!

Most companies ask for 10 yrs of records. 2009 that's only 6yrs ago. I remember back when I was calling various companies trying to decide which one to work with, one of them I had called was JB Hunt. The recruiter said she could do my application over the phone it would take about a 1/2 hr. Ok I said let's do it. So I answered all the personal data then she of course wanted to know what tickets I had. Now most companies would want your past 10yr history, so I said I had none. She replied "what about the speeding ticket you had in 1978? I was floored! I kid you not!!!!! She had my entire records from when I first got a drivers license!
DG23 did you read that above? I'm surprised
Swift didn't see the 2009 ticket ,maybe the person reading your transcript didn't notice it but maybe the next person will? Do you want to risk that?
. Look just say this to your recruiter " I just remembered I had received a speeding ticket back in 2009 which I hadn't originally mentioned on my application. I want to declare everything honestly, but I hope this isn't going to affect my starting with Swift will it? I can fill out another app if you think it's important I do so"
(I'm sure he'll say no it won't affect working for Swift ) So stop the anguish you're going through looking for an escape, you'll be glad you did, the weight will be off your shoulders, you can pay it when you can as long as you're under GA time limit (Unbelievable they haven't revoked your license yet for non payment, you're extremely lucky in that respect but then that's what Virginia would have done where I'm from ). Let us know what happens.

Virginia is on top of things because they pay for all the roadwork with the traffic fines; & construction costs millions so they've made up some extremely high fines. Like I mentioned, they even have payment plans !!
Wish I hadn't of lived here back then.

Extensive and thorough? You haven't filled out any online applications to trucking companies lately I guess.
Other than the work history, it's not very extensive.
Back in my wild days, I had 2 tickets I forgot to pay for about 5 years. That's what happens when your 19 and living fast. You have every intention to pay it someday, then bam! 5 years go by and a cop runs your plate while your cruising on the wrong side of state line. Then it all comes back to you, while your being printed, and escorted into a cell. What a great reminder!

Pawn something pay the ticket. Call attorney in the jurisdiction where you got the ticket. They will usually give free advice for the first consult.

How do you forget to pay a speeding ticket? Companies only look at job history in DOT regulated positions for 10 years. Mvr is either 3 or 5

I'm surprised to hear that seeing how JB Hunt found a speeding ticket for me from1978. What state was that in?

forgot about two tickets? reminds me of the politicians when taken to court..."I don't remember" Are you sure you can name all the parts of your rig during an inspection?
