Ok so I have some questions I need answered. I have talked to Jim about a year ago and he was such a nice person to chat with. I went through everything with walmart got my job offer and declined it because of the insurance. I am currently with a union company (not yrc) and have excellent benefits. My wife is a diabetic with an insulin pump and an insulin sensor. Both of these items and her insulin probably cost 6 to 7 thousand dollars every 3 months. My question is someone please tell me is the insurance going to cost me a fortune to keep her healthy. I need good insurance. Her insulin is 3200 dollars every 3 months I pay 200 dollars now. We have a max of 200 dollars for a prescription. I know there are ex Union guys at walmart so thought they could chime in.

The reason I am asking so many questions is that my dc I was looking to work at is back hiring again. I have been at my current job 10 years now and have pretty good seniority. The trucks are just beating me up. I am thinking of applying but don't want to go through everything and then back out again. Any help with this problem of what to do would be appreciated. Thanks and be safe out there

What DC are you talking about?? The insurance is different at different locations. Also, there are quite a few options at any location. Someone at that DC would know better what insurance is offered.

Hi trucker1979 I had the same situation I left a union job ,for Walmart, I really like working for Walmart , but the health care is not the greatest, if you have kids I still have cobra I am paying 1380 a month ,that's becuase my daughter is having an other neurosurgery that costs over 78000 , all I pay is the 250 dollar deductle for the surgery . When I was with my other job I did not pay anything except my copay of 15 dollars if I took walmarts insurance I pay over 200 every two weeks and pay 30percent that's over 24000 out of my pocket for the surgery so I am in a delema here really like my job and the people here but , don't know what to do about the health care really need it for my daughter ,I also turned down Walmart twice in Loveland Colorado and finally after lot of think took Walmart job that's it
