Did u get a rate con? It should be on what ever they sent u via email....unless it's a celadon load then no rate con

 

That maybe but if u aren't given a decent rate u can't operate for long..... Oh yeah I've said all along I don't have a problem with the young kids there at all there just young md inexperienced but very eager and bright mostly friendly and try hard.....I'm proud of all those kids I've met...it's upper management I have a problem with....

 

Dang but that's true in everything you do you're gonna have bad days. Any of you guys that doing this for a min think 3k is good to start out with.? I kno the money is not if the truck break down the money is for like you're bills and what not if you don't run good ur fist.week.

 

U need to think a lot longer term than not running well your first few weeks! Think months....x3 your Money.....it's not so easy to consistently find 2.00 a mile with not much customer freight and rates at 80% and then eagle taking 25% u can get lucky sure ...but all I can say is be prepared and don't hurt your family,they don't deserve it!

Yeah in the short time I was with Eagle, I thought that it would be an awesome place to work if only we could get better rates, and upper management listened to the drivers and their suggestions, but alas it is not going to happen soon.

If you are new to leasing, go with one of the bigger carriers first to learn the ropes, and get some money saved, because you will need the cash reserve if you come to Eagle, without that cash reserve, you and your family will be in trouble, read the Hurricane Express threads to find out what a bad lease is like and what happens when drivers don't have any reserve cash just to go back home. Even with all their problems though, Eagle will never be as bad as Hurricane Express, great trucks, new Pete 589's but bad lease.
