So I've managed to source out a complete KW 8 bag cut-off on 40k rears. I'm trying to determine if my pickup truck will be able to tow it or if I should borrow my dad's pickup since it's bigger. Just wondering if anyone would know off hand approximately what it would weigh? I'm guessing it'd be in the 5-6k lb range maybe?

We put a pete air ride cut off single/out steel wheels on the back of a I ton Pick/up flat bed but it made the ft. end bottom out on all bumps, so a short slow trip will be ness.
AModelCat Thanks this. -
Your correct
It will be in the 6000 lb range if compleat drum to drum EverythingAModelCat Thanks this. -
I'm off to go pick it up tomorrow. Decided to use my dad's 3/4 ton since I have to drive about 250 miles one way to get it. Found out it's complete with 8 tires and a 5th wheel as well so It may be closer to 7k pounds.

Hope it's not a dodge, you'll be pulling the leaf springs back down thru the bed when you get home :/

Hauling it home right now. Got it on an 8' 6" wide 16' flatdeck. Chevy's pulling it just fine.Ruthless Thanks this.

Just exactly what air ride is it? I am a big fan of KW but the engineers can't home in on a good air ride. Now I will contradict myself. A short wb '95 that I bought has Airglide 100 and rides like a dream. BUT it is the first really good riding KW I have ever been in. I have KW's version of Pete 380 air ride and I am not impressed by it.

AG100. I lucked out. The frame on the cutoff is the same dimensions as my truck so I can chop the rotten frame off the back end and weld the cutoff right on.

What year and model is your truck?

1980 W900. Had to ditch the rubber block. Kidneys hurt just thinking about it lol.
