How much do you spend OTR as a company driver a day a week a month

This thread makes me laugh at myself.........and mad at myself.

I barely get 50 miles from the shop these days, and I always have a plastic bag for my trash hanging off the parking brake knob. When I get to the shop at night, I throw my trash bag into the back of my pickup. I usually clean out the bed of my pickup every Sunday morning, before I head over to my sailboat. Well....... I just threw all those bags into my trash can about an hour ago. This thread had me curious as to how much money I blow on fast foods and coffee each week.......so I ripped open the bags this morning while dumping them into the trash.....................Gulp!

5 days of WaWa & 7-11 Wendys, Hardees, etc. etc.

I am blowing about 75-100 dollars every week..... just being local, and I have been whining up a storm about not having money for some new wire rigging that I need for the boat which will cost about $400.00.

The "good wife" usually goes over to the Navy Exchange on Sundays, and I am going to have her buy me a thermos and lunch cooler.

great news! Now with saving$400 pr mo x 12mo=OMG you can take a wonderful vacation trip !

 

i work 4 days a week doing 2 over night runs. i buy a case of water for the week 5.00, and when i get to the hotel i go to the resteruant spend 10 to 12 bucks on a meal and round up the tip to 20 bucks. the company gives it's over night drivers 25.00 a night for meals so i guess i come out plus 5.00 for the week.

 

I got a refrigerator and a microwave. A little egg muffin tray for the micro. Crack and egg in there for a minute in the micro slap it between two slices of bread with a turkey bologne. Got me a breakfast sandwich. I eat rasen bran. My wide boils me chicken at home and freezes it. I put it in the little freezer compartment in my fridge. Sometimes I make tacos. Sometimes I by a ready mix salad and threw some cold chicken on there with crutons, bacos n ranch. By oranges apples n bananas. Buy a bag of trail mix for 5 bucks at Walmart weekly. Always got my tuna with sloced hamburger pickles n mayo sandwiches. I love sardines in virgin olive oil. Drink only water. Fill my mug with ice daily and only put water in it. Usually I get away with 40-60 bucks a week.

I have a coffee maker, microwave and electric cooler in my truck. I spend about 30 to 40 at the store each week. I carry $60 in cash, I can go home with $40 left unless I eat at the truck stop. I only drink coffee and then ice water. I buy glasses of ice for 50 cents and use the water I carry from home.
