There used to be an option to upload a file when you clicked the upload image link. I haven't fiddled with the media gallery yet.

I just don't see a GIF option.

Well I think I figured out the new media gallery route of uploading a pic. I liked the old way better of just clicking the add a pic icon and uploading the file from device. Oh well. Kind of a work around.
