As the article states, be warned if you do install this version as it will kill your version 2 copy. We're finding FF3 doesn't play well with vBulletin (which this site also uses) and I've been trying to figure out why the two don't play well together.

The biggest thing I don't like is FF will DL updates and install them without asking permission. If your browser is closed and you open it it'll auto update.

My favorite has always been Opera. Both on Windows and Linux. It's another free browser and traditionally has been the fastest at rendering web pages.

I just restored mine, after installing FF3, this afternoon.

It did kill FF2. I thought about re-naming the directory entry, but that would have hidden the profile.

It also lacked the Back and Forward buttons, and none were available when I tried to customize it.

I was looking forward to it, but will follow some others, and watch the complaint levels. FF2 is cool, with over 20 extensions. I had over 30 at one time, on earlier versions, but heard of others with more than 100 extensions.

I installed FF3 a few weeks ago (beta) and haven't had any trouble with it. A few extensions were not available right away but have been updated since. Forward and back buttons work fine. So does this website. It seems "snappier" than FF2.

I love FF and have been using it for years and I am usually the first one to get one there updated version. But, I think I'll sit back and wait this one out. At least until they get the kinks out of it.

I've been using FF3 through the different beta versions. Had some problems with the early copies, but none recently. I have Beta 5 running on Vista, FF3 on XP SP3 and FF3 on Ubuntu Hardy Heron.

The automatic updating is turned on by default, but it can be turned off to just notify you that they're available.

I haven't seen any problems with vBulletin, other than I still can't find the "Thanks" button. Thought that might have to do with my number of posts?

    baseballswthrt Thanks this.

Yep.. Think the magic number for the Thanks button is 25.

Figured out the issue with FF3 and our site.. It was the custom style we're using. All fixed now. :)
