This isn't a question, but your BF should be aware there are dozens of companies that will hire him as a new CDL graduate, not just a few the CDL school pushes.
Plenty of choices/ dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, tankers.
Also some companies run coast-to-coast and some are more regional or maybe just run Eastern states or just Western states.
What is your BF interested in; does he have endorsements; his age; city/state you live in. All this will help others give you informed answers.
Age matters in that some companies have minimum age requirements such as 21 or 23 yrs. old.
City/state matters because most companies only hire from certain areas and some hire from all 48 states.

    Um....
Find out what happens when you break down, or get a bad trailer..what happens if you refuse something?

Find out some names and numbers if you can..Its always the pay, the miles, the loads, for obvious reasons..But its often other things that make you insane...dispatch procedure etc etc, not getting along with someone in the chain seems to always cost..
Find out where you go for problems and back up, what can i do when Im unhappy!!

I think WHO's interviewing you totally matters...some college intern hoping for a big HR job someday who really is just a non thinking tard-robot? Or a owner, or hiring manager who works for the owner type of guy...Company size matters..
I think your robot interviewer is not liable for stuff he says to you..different department...possibly even different entity, 3rd party co etc etc..
I wouldnt bother with the robots at all, go thru the motions, not tie up the line (lol) and begin your fight at the next level..

You better make sure you have enough phone minutes before calling any company with all these questions!
