We are not hearing many good things from our grain (beans and corn) customers regarding exports. They usually start up in Oct., due to the heavy rains in April, May, June, a lot of fields didn't get planted until very late, harvest is expected to be much later, so exports may not start until mid-Nov. is what they are talking now.

55 hours this week for me, my dispatcher sent me a message today that said the whole darn country is getting hit with this slump right now though. I'm thinking were losing a lot of our OTR guys, you know it isnt good when they are asking the drivers to be patient, pretty sure it's supposed to be the other way around.

Something I said I would never do is work local Intermodal and Just started in the Chicago area 2 weeks ago with an hourly wage job... So far great.. 50-60 hours a week with overtime after 40... been busy and they say right now its slow... sometimes the wait to get a flip at the rail can be long but being paid by the hour isn't an issue... couldn't imagine being paid percentage and working rails... hourly IMO is were its at...
