Just occurred to me that If you are so busy ranting about Roehl, why are you sticking around? Deep down inside I think you know that Roehl is Heaven compared to the Hell of Werner, Swift, J.B.Hunt, etc.etc. I have NO problems with the way I am treated and My DSR busts her tail to keep the planners in check to get me home. I also treat my DSR and all others in Roehl with utmost respect that we all deserve, and the respect is given right back to me. Try it, it works.

(quote) did you even take the time to think that he might be a Hometime Plus Driver that shares that truck with a driver that earned that decal? Or if that is the driver does not share that truck, how hard is it to pull a decal off the truck if it was still there?
Good question. Yes I did check with this driver and he was assigned this truck on the national fleet. The driver was the only driver of that tractor. He did not share that truck with any other driver
Now lets look at your statement: does this driver share a truck with a driver that has EARNED that decal.
The following is a fictional scenario the names have been changed to protect the innocent.
Steve and Billy are both 7/7 drivers based out of the Gary terminal. They both share truck #1234
Steve has spent the last 8 years in the military and is a recent graduate of the Roehl truck driving school.
Billy is a million mile safe driver for Roehl, and is truly an asset to the company.
Truck #1234 has the million mile safe driving award and the Marine military sticker.
Has Steve EARNED the right to carry the million mile safe driving award while he is operating the vehicle?
Has Billy EARNED the right to carry the military sticker?
Theese stickers in my mind are badges of honor and should only be displayed to the true owners who have EARNED them. To have them placed randomly on random drivers is disrespectful to thoose who have truly EARNED them.
Now for your next question: How hard is it to pull the decal off the truck? Umm lets see is it really up to me to verify a service record and rip the decal off this guys truck? -

I never said that theese items were or were not a tax write off. In time you will come to understand that the book that you have signed for is not only a guide but is also a weapon to be used against you for any kind of infraction no matter how trivial.
So when I read a statement that says I am not required to provide anything other then my services. Then later I read that I am required to provide several items to preform my job requirements. This now becomes what I call a silly lie.
Either the items are required or they are not required. What purpose does it serve Roehl to include the statement that you are not required to provide anything other then your services? -

Now on to the Rant:
June 17th 2008, Rick sent out a message that stated because the flatbed division is the most technical and physically demanding fleet they will be receiving a per mile increase in pay. (did not state what that increase would be). Also stated that they would receive increase in tarp pay.
That is great, congrats to the flatbed division.
But what about the honors flatbedders who are on salary, are they also going to get a similar pay raise for there work? Is there work any less technical? Is there work any less physical?
The pay raise also doubles the rate going thru canada. Did they increase the base pay our veterans would receive if they are eligeable to drive thru canada?
June 19th Message received from Rick. We get a great rateing from GP. Best carrier award. How many flatbeds are carrying GP loads? So the Van division gets the great rateing and the flat bed division gets a raise.
All divisions have there own technical and physical aspects and in my opinion it is disheartening to only see one division rewarded based on theese aspects alone.
If you have 4 children would you only give 1 a candy bar? -

Good points Cheryl
Point #1 The salary they receive will be the same salary prior to June 23rd.
Point #2 I agree 100% salary drivers should receive the canada pay. I also believe they should receive the extra tarping pay, and detention time.
Point #3 I knew my info was wrong about flatbedders pulling GP loads but didn't have much time to reverify. My information led me to believe it was a zero load count on flat bedders
Point #4 Gold Zone Pay? This is the first time I have heard of this term. If you could please give effective date and purpose if possible.
