Bud (John Travolta) had a threesome with two country girls his first night in Houston.

 

My first job out of school was driving for a travelling dance competition. Iit was alot of fun. Money wasnt great but the fringe benifits were great!!. It was only a temp job since the tours only go from January to July.
I enjoyed the unloading and set up.worked with mostly dancers in their 20s.... lol... had a great time but it was time for a real job when the tour ended.
Some things to consider... you are away from home a much longer time than most OTR jobs. You do alot of night driving. You usually have to help set up and break down and load the truck.
We did alot of theatre and convention centers. So I ran into a few tour drivers. A few of the ones I ran into or other drivers talked about are Upstaging, Stage Call, Stage Truck, TMS in Omaha, Alliance Productions, and Slomotion..... if I think of more ill add them

good luck, seems like a good gig.... I thought that was what I wanted... but maybe in another life. Just doesnt fit for my life now...
I wanted to do sports broadcast trucking....

My mom (RIP) had that soundtrack on vinyl in its original sleeve. She also had Saturday Night Fever. I think mom had a crush on John Travolta.

 

Hauling gear for Widespread Panic would be a dream job for me.

 

Hit up stage call next spring. They hire like crazy for the summer, and are probably the most laxed tour carrier when it comes to driver experience. It is a 8 to 10 month a year job for the most part. There are not very many tours going on during the dead of winter.
