Hello guys,
i am new to this forum, i am new driver, just got my CDL , same did my friend. We are going to work together, but we want to take long distance loads as far as it makes no sense to work together on short distance loads.
what can you recommend to do, are there any companies which prefer two drivers in the vehicle so their long distance loads can e delivered quicker.
any other advice you can give us?

Almost every Mega company prefers 2 drivers in a truck. You can apply just about anyplace and expect them to take you.
Straight Stacks and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
The best way I know how to say it is ...

It is called TEAMING and all the major trucking companies have TEAM operations in some form or other

That's not exactly true. All love to have "teams" but not all have true team lanes/freight, all the time. Many carriers are happy just to have a truck that can run regional 4000 MPW just as easily as it can run 2,500 MPW. Anything over 3k is gravy but they simply don't have the kind of lanes and freight to keep a team operating anywhere near 100% most of the time. And that sucks for the 2 poor drivers.
The good money is in the shorter regional freight and this is where many like to operate, but this type of running simply can not support a team.Toomanybikes Thanks this. -
He was not asking about what pays the better $ that the COMPANY MAKES in certain regions or what companies have the freight to support team operations he wanted to know about 2 drivers in 1 truck.

well I am interested in $ too

so there is not any company which can give us long distance trips all the time? -
Good God yes. Many companies can accommodate you. This is one area where the Megas tend to shine. Schneider loves teams, new trucks, big miles. Schneider teams were treated like gold when I was there.FLATBED and Straight Stacks Thank this.

thank you for detailed info
me and my friend will check it out
$1700 sounds attractive. i was in florida by the way two days ago, where I passed my CDL tests, everyone was telling me that Florida is kinda slow for trucking, the best state to be based is Illinois (Chi) or Nevada.
is it true?
