So, what do you consider low? I made $375 yesterday for one day of work. That was freight and mileage combined. Good piece count and I made it back in one day.Pintlehook Thanks this.

Just a little update... Still going through the hiring process, it has been a long one but I believe I am about there. Scheduling a truck trip and pre-employment testing this week. After that I just have a few more things to do with Work One and I should be ready to start school. Hoping everything goes smoothly from this point.

Any thing under $325 a day is what I consider low. But here lately it's been a struggle to get $200.00 a day average. A company like Dot we should be making $300 + every day an not just once or twice a week.
Canned Spam Thanks this. -
It all depends on freight and availability. You are setting your sights awfully high to expect $1500 / wk+, that's 78k a year, unless you have a good paying dedicated run.
If you want to make more, tell them you want to throw more freight. If you say that, at least where I am, you'll get buried in piece work.
You need to look at the bottom line too. I've had a great first 7 months, and this month its slowed up a bit. But with speed bonus, safety, etc...it evens out annually. -
Well I just got my conditional job offer today, super stoked. Scheduled to do my pre-employment stuff Friday. They said if all goes as planned (which it should) then I should start school on the 15th.
From what I have heard, if you ask for the extra work Dot will give it to you. The guy that interviewed me said that some people there are making close to 90k -
Congrats to you. You'll do fineYellow Jacket Thanks this.

Remind you I'm not saying nothing bad about the company I like Dot Foods but they pay could be better and I did avg about 1500 a week till the last few weeks and freight is not down its just those 4 on 4 off guys r killing my pay check and I keep telling them that an they just walk a circle around my question and won't answer it
