Oh yeah I'm starting to see what you mean. So off the legal record and all but is the company anal about you logging all the on duty time on your log. Seems like you can rack up a bit of that with the take off put back on type stuff. Also do you go to big places like walmarts. Or to all sorts of places that wearn't built for big trucks?

The hardest part is wrapping the pallet of junk batteries. We mainly go to walmart and sams but some of the interstate battery are kinda small but not to bad. We also do sears only in oklahoma. We mainly go onduty the whole time we are working. They dont say anything since we do get restarts every weekend.

Yeah that sounds like a pretty nice gig. My wife was talking about moving back to Texas. Wish they had something like that out of OKC would jump on it in a heart beat. You be safe and look forward to future post.

Hey dude from reading this thread it sounds like this place you're working at is pretty good. I am looking to get my cdl at roadmasters then get right to work. Do you know if they'll consider me right out of school? I live in San Antonio. Any info is appreciated and if they have a referral program where you can get paid for bringing people in let me know and I'll help you out.

Hi, my husband is considering taking a job with Ruan. It's in Cali hauling bread much like you are hauling batteries. My question is did they tell you a certain amount you would make per week? He's been told pay is based on a lot of things, and your very detailed description has helped us a lot in figuring out how they will pay. But they've also told him he will make no less than $1100 per week. Just wondering if you were given a weekly figure as well? Thanks & hope the job is still going well.

Hey Truckerim2055, not sure if you're still checking this thread out but I saw an ad on Craigslist for this position and from what you describe, it sounds like a pretty decent job. I'm currently have 6 months exp. OTR but I've been doing a regional dedicated for HEB through my company for the last couple months with multiple stops daily but home nightly which isn't a big deal for me as much as home once a week for a day or 2. The only bad thing is the pay is kinda low so I'm looking at other options and this one seems right up my alley. Would you still recommend it and is it still a 1 yr exp. requirement or are there exceptions? I'm located on the northeast side of San Antonio so commuting time wouldn't be a factor. Thanks in advance for any input you have.

If u dont mind working inside a trl in tx then its a good job. Lots of walking and good exercise and get paid well doing it. New 2015 volvo also with autos. I didn't care for being inside the trl during the summer so i went flatbedding.
Far as i know its a 1 yr exp required but things could have changed in the past yr.
