Hello all, I'm starting this blog separately because I am in search of a solid team driver. I like ththe way covenant does their matching but I'm also looking outside the box because I'm a very open minded person. A little about myself for perspective partners, I'm 21 yrs old and married with one son who is two. I live in Ohio and am looking for a partner fairly close so home time is easier but we are also discussing moving to Florida but not for about six months and that's if we make that final decision. I am a very outgoing person and very open minded, I've been told I'm very adventurous as well as a good person to be around. I've wanted to drive trucks my whole life, when I was seven years old I told my mom I wanted to grow up and have the opportunity to do it and here I am now. Living a life long dream, I tend to get along with females better but do have very good male friends. I've been told I'm a very "mature" person for my age but that's by my choice, when it's time to work it's time to work and when it's play time let's play. I'm not a very religious person but yes I believe in a higher power and believe that there is a God that listens to me when I pray and watches over us as we are his children. I don't go to church on Sundays or read the bible daily but I do go on the holidays with family as well as sometimes dig into the bible but not often. I like being able to get things done quickly but do it proficiently because doing something more than once due to poor judgment the first time is a little crazy, work smarter not harder is what I go by. There's a lot of other things about myself but I could go on for days, some important things to me for a partner is good hygiene, a good work ethic as well as motivation to do the job and get it done right the first time to move onto the next task. I would like to get home at least once a month and more if possible during resets and things of that nature. I'm also a very reasonable person so I would prefer to have a partner that can compromise and doesn't think that they are always right so it has to be done only their way. Mainly I'm looking for someone to go on the road with that I can enjoy my time with and get the job done, as well as a person I can chat with and pass the time with. Thank you for reading my long drug out post and if you are interested please feel free to get ahold of me on here and let's see what happens, I should be ready for a teammate by the second or third week of June. Have a blessed day and safe travels!

I would like to "borrow" your thread to ask a question... has Covenant bumped up the speed on their trucks? It used to be 65 "generally".... but now I've seen their trucks going faster... maybe 68? Just curious... :biggrin_25519:

No, the trucks are governed at 65 but some will run a couple mph faster than others. Check out my other threads I have going with Covenant if you'd like.

Us to be 68. I think a few very few. Have escaped the mandatory recalibration. Also .owners some of them high ball. Also different makers of trucks. Have speedometer differences. EG. Cascadia are all going a few mph faster than they really are. Fek. A cov. Passed my kenworth yesterday. And I was at 65. Was a company truck

Try talking with your fleet manager. They'll find you someone. The office usually has a list.. can also try terminals with a wanted poster if you see the need
