Rule of thumb for me... For a quick reference I always add 20% for my pick up and delivery.

The response of " maybe you don't fit our business model " comes to mind.

    You missed the point.

If there's 3 different mileage for each load in the same SNI system then it's intentional for a reason.

Load board mileage is the lowest to make the rates look better.

Workflow is short to screw drivers out of miles. Remember that workflow doesn't differentiate between IC and Company drivers.

Navigo has the actual miles because it's the directions.

You and I both know Schneider is billing actual not HHMG miles. But they steal from all the Drivers by paying HHMG.

    It's what it ain't.

When you see the deadhead miles on the load board, it shows straight line miles. To calculate actual or HHMG for each trip on the search list would be too much work for the system as well as slow it way down. My GPS is the same way when I look at a list of points of interest across my route. Once the load is assigned, the system will calculate HHMG for the selected trip. All is now HHMG.
The difference between Crossroads and actual is not too bad, sometimes right on. The thing is to know all this and plan accordingly I guess.

That's an answer a corporate monkey gives not the actual facts.

Schneider pays HHMG and bills actual.

I've been at SNI long enough to know the reasons does not mean I buy them.

I've seen on multiple occasions where the total miles listed on the BOL matches the HHMG miles that we are being paid. So to assume they charge actual to all customers probably isnt accurate

I've been keep track off all miles driven loaded.
And so far Schneider is off by 8-11% of actual miles driven.
I'm talking about most direct route from point A to B.
If I have to go out of route for ANY reason I record it.
If you don't think that's alot do the math for yourself n your loads.
This past week alone I lost: $452.32
Try that week in and week out..it adds up.

Long story short..Schneider and the Trucking Industry as a whole needs to find another way to calculate miles other than zipcode to zipcode.
Yes we knew this going in..but it's ridiculous.
As for calculating the miles before booking..yup I do that too.
Sometimes you have to make the decision to bring in revenue over driving a bit further that Total miles paid.

I believe that's what TennMan is trying to do as well..inform his fellow contractors.
As to what Stevep1977 wrote..yes sir I have had mine come out on the button every now and then too.
But it's rare..calculate your miles Drivers and see what you come up with.

This all just a FYI..take it as you will.

    FatDaddy and TennMan Thank this.
