Any Pepsi drivers out there?

You're in Florida? I almost transferred to fla Pepsi. Had my route picked & everything. Be prepared- it's a BRUTAL job. Most guys don't make it- for various reasons. PM me if you have any questions. Once you get out on your own you can make some $ depending on how your company is set up (they're all different)

 

Well I got ahold of Pepsi today, they said they got my drug and physical results but still waiting on background check, and they said I'll get a call about an orientation date as soon as that comes in, so that sounds pretty promising.... I called the place I submitted the background check too see what the deal was, the lady said it looks like it was processed and sent to another department that submits it to Pepsi, so I'm guessing they're just being lazy!!

 

Do any of you pepsi drivers know if they pay weekly or biweekly? I just hired on, onboarding Monday morning and I totally spaced asking the hr lady if they paid every week or every two weeks. Was hoping one of you pbg drivers could share the details! Thanks.

Huh? I'm not trying to be a smart a s s , but I'm curious what that means.

 

I'm Thinking he means the in some accounts like walgreens you will touch the product up to three times. It adds up I did it for 6 months before going to transport.....hard work but good luck

 

Yeah, I kinda disagree. I do it now, when I'm not lucky enough to get a bulk run (lol) and it's never that much. We average 570 cases per day and we're one of the highest in the country (avg wise)... I actually did the math a few times (loosely of course) and I estimated I was throwing around 900 cases on a heavy day

 

I have been a Pepsi bay driver in the central coast of CA for 9 years now,and in the last couple of years i have seen the stores serviced and case count go up.I drive about 90-100 miles on my route and I go out with 500-600 cases and get about 14-20 stores in a day.Its hard back breaking work and long shifts,12 hours is now my standard work day,but you're outside all day(CA weather)take your lunch when you want,and every day is different.

I hope all is well, i am new the forum. I have some general questions about working as a relief driver for PepsiCo. Maybe you can answer them here or if you can PM me please. They have invited me to go for an interview. I am not worried about the interview but worried about the dot physical and dot road test.

So what do they make you do for the dot physical? I am not too worried about the physical but curious to what they make you do for the physical exam to pass?

As for the dot road test what do they make you do on the road test? What kind of route is it? Are the equipment that they use is automatic? Do a lot of people fail the road test for them? is it actually dot that test you or is actually the person from PepsiCo? Any information would be great! This will be my first CDL job and honestly i really want to work for them, not just because i need a job but i have done unloading freight in the past and this type of work appeals to me. I want to thank you for all your feedback and advice.
