So if it's a mix of refeer flats and dry vans that stat for rates SUVs and u know it! Coz refeer and flat is quite a bit higher...making my case again sir...dry van rates suck here...and maybe refeer and flats do too! Coz if the "FLEET AVERAGE" includes dry vans refeers and flats then it's truly horrifying!

I made a math error your right im human but that DEFINATELY isn't what bothers me....it's stating a stat tht is meaningless....I make mistakes all the time and I own them...

And u furthur made it worse by stating each om has a fleet,each terminal has a fleet my om runs both reefers and dry vans.my terminal has all three..so it's still a meaning less stat until u drill it down to exactly what fleet what's the mix of freight is included....

Certainly. Eagle appears to be relying on entirely too much brokered freight. Particularly several brokers who are notoriously low paying. After the broker pulls their cut and Eagle takes its 25% of whats left there is very little meat remaining to the guy carrying the majority of the costs.
I'm a fair guy and recognize all the fault doesn't rest inside an office building but since when is a revolving door of drivers really profitable? It seems to me a Quality company should be able to leverage a little high rates than they are. It also seems like a little descretion in which loads to even look at might be in order too. That last is for both Eagles employees and the ic drivers. -
Fairly well nailed it THX ...heavy reliance on easy to work with but low paying brokers and a not very well trained staff is what we are her folks and also WHY there is a revolving door of drivers! Only reason I last longer than others is I have operating capital that many others don't have....

Well, there's definitely some truth to relying on brokered freight. The percentage has gone down quite a bit in the last three months, but it's still not at the 20-or-so percent that would be ideal.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "revolving door Drivers". Trucking companies universally have high turnover rates, it's an insanely frustrating facts of life. That's not to say any company should just accept turnover, but it is always going to happen for a variety of reasons.
Ultimately though, I disagree with the idea that there's very little red meat left over for the drivers. I totally understand that there are Drivers struggling, but when j see DV Drivers making $1k checks each week plus making payments towards a truck, I know it's possible.
This isn't directed at you at all but people seem to have a very wide range of expectations when they get into O/O trucking, and everyone would be well served by better orientation procedures to allign them I feel like. -
