They are calling me on Monday to discuss it. My new DM there. Should be effective next week.
Now here in Guymon. Woke up this morning and went to get my mt trailer and it was gone. Drove around and could not find it. Even the person doing the yard check did not have it on his list. A little later I get a phone call from him and he found it. It was over by the docks. Guess that the trailer shop moved it. Now time for some delicious Chinese buffet

Grants, NM. Just taking my time. Actually called the planners in PHX for the first time today and got a pplan. A 10K load on Thursday to Dallas for Saturday. I know that I can get a load out of Lancaster area on Saturday since I have home request for Tuesday in El Paso. Just will take a round about way to get there and hopefully this will actually get me some miles. Today talked to the DM in El Paso and was told that they are still reviewing my request for transfer. WTF. Over 6 weeks now. Tried to call my terminal and talk to the DL and left a message and was told that she would call back. Nope. Nada.

I cannot think of anything more foolish than accepting a load to Lancaster's planning area that leaves you empty on the weekend unless you want a few days off .HousTank Thanks this.

LOL... What you talkin bout Willis!fr8monkey Thanks this.

Are you trying to say that the Lancaster planners are lazy and incompetent?
Or are you saying the same thing about the Memphis planners since they plan the Lancaster area on the weekends and the planners will not answer their phones?HousTank Thanks this. -
I have to admit that the last 2 times that I have been mt on a Saturday in Lancaster I have gotten a load out, plus there is always command. Once in awhile they might have something on a Saturday. In fact just 2 Fridays ago got mt and picked up a load out of LG on a Saturday

Man, that's the truth!! I tried calling Memphis planners at least a dozen times Saturday & Sunday and not one single time did they answer the phone. They would let it ring until the call rolled over to the Jonestown planners who would answer but refuse to put a load on me saying that I had to call the Memphis planners!!! WTF!!!
At a Petro on I-65S somewhere between E-Town and Bowling Green.
After spending the weekend sitting in Monee, IL and getting jerked around by planners and lack of planners I finally got a load out from Alsip IL (Chicago) down to Lithonia GA (Atlanta). Live at both ends so I get to keep my nice trailer more than a day or two.
Thanks to sitting in Monee, I will now have one of the worst weeks in the last couple years...won't even break 2K miles for Wednesday. This ain't gonna cut it. Nope!!Last edited: Aug 11, 2015

I'm in NC with a nice heavy load headed to VA.
It is ~400 miles, combined mt and loaded, and spans 2 days. Picked up at 1500 today and delivers at 1900 tomorrow. This pplan came in yesterday at around noon.
It's too hard to get decent miles these days.
And I've switched over from my Verizon MiFi to T-Mobile for my broadband internet.
It's not as good, and I've been in dead zones 3 days so far since switching.
I added 4 data only lines to our family plan, and I'm getting 20GB of data for $40 per month - compared to Verizon's 20GB plan at $110.
Each line has 5GB for $10, so I have to swap the sim card when each gets full. Still, for the money it's worth it.
I also got my 2 youngest daughters phones on our family plan, and switched to a new family plan in the process.
It gives 10GB of data for each phone.
So now I am paying around $100 per month for 3 phones, each with 10GB of data, plus my separate data lines totalling 20GB of data, for less than the single 20GB broadband line with Verizon.
This family plan is shared by my sister, her son, me and now 2 of my daughters. We have 11 lines on it now, including my 4 data lines. In all it costs about $230 per month, and each phone has 10GB of data.
Verizon can't touch it, for the price, even though they do have better 4G coverage.HousTank Thanks this. -
The price of data...the ONLY thing him and I fight about. Screw you, Verizon. Screw you.

Talked to Donna Willenberg, a planner at Lancaster this morning . The TM has instructed the planners NOT to offer loads to drivers that call in anymore .
The problem was apparently drivers complaining about "favoritism" in how loads are being assigned. If you don't have a hometime request and want to go to a certain area you have to rely on Mac30 or whatever preplan pops up . Even then , a hometime request will only get you headed that way if there's freight as usual .
We all know how oblivious the ECTs are when it comes to populating Mac30 . My PTA was Friday at 0800 and I sat 55 hours with nothing on Mac30 . I took a short mile crap load to Beaumont in hopes of getting into an area where there might be some hope for a Command load .
I'm trying to get to Laredo so I can get my BP meds renewed and the doc wants to review my blood tests with me first . If I don't have a load by 0700 ttomorrow I'll be deadheading 450 miles on my dime .
BTW , I was able to reach the Lancaster planners this weekend . I was also able to reach the Memphis planners . Usually calls bounce to Jonestown or Portland .
