I've been driving for 4 Years but all of it has been local except 4 months Otr flatbed. I'm looking to get back into flatbed and would like to know some decent flatbed companies that I could go to with 4 months Otr. Any help would be appreciated

    Try this as a first choice : Lone Star Transportation,LLC ( www.lstinc.com)

    Melton Truck Lines
    Keim TS
    Decker Truck Line
    Jones Bros. Trucking
    Halvor Lines
    System Transport
    Pride Transport - flatbed division
    Celadon - flatbed division
    Waggoners Trucking

There's more, but these are OK.

I hear maverick is pretty good as well. and I could be wrong, but I would think that 4 years local would still count to your driving exp?

Let us know how it goes, I'm in a very similar situation. I have almost three years experience, about 2 1/2 years on a flatbed, all of it local though, no OTR. Now I'm looking for a new job, haven't had much luck with local companies, and don't really want to go with a mega carrier. Seems like a lot of the decent OTR or regional companies want someone with OTR experience, don't want to have to train someone who has never driven out of state (technically went to Nevada once, but whatever).

Anyone with advice for someone in California, in Visalia, south of Fresno....

Paul Transportation is in Tulsa / Sapulpa .... I would think they would be a good bet for home time and miles for the OP.

If you want a smaller regional fleet check out Jump Transport out of OKC, owner is a good man ...I know nothing about who runs his Tulsa operation though.
