So most of the truckers I talked to always complain that the worst thing of trucking is the fact that you are never home. To be honest it is exciting thing for me. I always loved roaming, driving, traveling. I have been in 40 countries mostly in Europe and best memories come from travelling, those visits were not vacations and gave me very good experience to remember. You know I drive for UBER and sometimes I drive 500 miles a day, I love it, I love driving at night, moving, changing locations. When I was graduating truck school I also fell in love with truck. Honestly before I went to school I was thinking that I will hate truck. The big wheel can be hard to turn (LOL) and this ridiculously large piece of steel is hard to manage, but with all of the sudden I liked it, I loved manuevering it, backing up, the logic it works.
Let's see how I will be thinking after 3 years of driving but for now I think it is exciting thing for me.
What do you think am I talking ######## or I might really love it?
Trucking is right for my character?

I think you have to much drama.
To many people get on this forum and over think it. Get your CDL and drive. Simple as that. -

The worst thing about OTR trucking IS that you are not home much!
If you like driving, and can find something better to do than just stare out the windshield when your waiting for a load, then you should do just fine. You sound like you have a good attitude, and IMHO, Its the guys and gals with good attitudes that make the best drivers! Put your nose in the wind and find out! -
Things are a little different when you have to go where they want you to go and get there on their terms. Yes, there is a lot of independence and solitude but it's still on someone else's terms for the most part. But it sound like you have the core material to make a good 48 state OTR driver. Best wishes.
