Bruenger Co Lease

Well came back yesterday from my 5 day vacation.. It is great to spend time at home but so hard to leave the wife and kids.. But it is what it is, I have to make a living and there is not a better job to do that then OTR Driver!! Lol

So picked up a load of pizza in Salina, 1st stop Billings and 2ns stop Spokane.. Looking at the pay on this, when did this become such a crap load? Well fuel will avg about $2.30 a gal for this trip so maybe I can recap some profit there..

Of course I prefer this load because it usually is followed by produce back and that pays pretty darn good for Bruenger.. The only bad thing is, you need to make it a very quick turn around to make any money!! If not the pizza sucks up most of the weeks profit and you might be lucky to make $400 to $700 after the bills and truck payment..

Any way it is great to be back on the road, my daughter is rolling with me one last time before school starts next week..

3 of my 5 sons play football so for the next 3 months I will be trying to get home on the weekends or every other weekend to watch there games.. Will test Bruenger and see if we can make this happen.. Lol

Also this new truck has been amazing, cannot stress enough, if you come to any division in Roadrunner start out with a new truck.. I would be $$$ a head right now if I would of started with this truck.. Don't be a cheap bastered

 

Well just brokered my first load.. Excited!! Talked the broker up $$200.00 dollars.. Load runs through the house so maybe get to sleep in my bed Saturday Night..

Now just need Bruenger to sign the paperwork and agree to the terms..

Feeling accomplished!! Lol

 

Made it to Spokane, picking up a load of onions back to Missouri to a WM DC.. Will try and find another long load from there back west.. The best weeks you can have when doing a lease is when you feel like a ping pong ball.. Lol

 

Well ran hwy 12 back across Idahoe and into Montania.. First you need a permit to drive this road, too bad the scale was closed and I could not get one.. 2nd the avg speed is about 45 MPh but the scenes across Idaho is worth it if not in a hury. From Walla Walla to Mozula MT took about 7 to 8 hours.. So u will lose about an hour coming this way.. But we did get to see a bear and drove through a forest fire so pretty cool

 

It was beautiful Phil4life.. But it sure ate up a few hours of drive time.. I don't think I would ever go that way again.. That would of been cool to haul dozers up to a fire camp..

I know the police chief at Nes Prez, he was an instructor of mine. I just missed him by about 15 min when I drove through, he was at a hot shot meeting at the fire camp..

I wish I could of stayed in the area for about a week.. Wounded how much a few acres along the river would cost $$$..

 

Well made it to Walmart stop #1.. Someone at my door, so I guess I get to wait , to wait.. Lol

Now if I could just take a nap I would be so happy!!
