There's more rude drivers then not nowadays. The tanker was basically too close to your trailer for you to get over and had no intentions to ease up to let you over.Next time you slow up let him pass and then get back over. There's no need to cause a scene and get all the other drivers in a panic mode.

Used to have a co-worker who always said, "the further east you go in this country, the ruder the people are." Not too sure he was right, but not too sure he was wrong either.

Um-hm. Wonder how long you will last in "retirement" before you start getting bored. Hope you have some fulfilling hobbies! You can only fish so much, and you've already likely had your share of travel.:D

Op- you did right, Big Hammer(little prick) was a douchebag. Good on you for trying. You would have had the same a-hole cryin' on the CB if you hadn't moved to let him on.
Unfortunately, as others have said, the whole "brotherhood" out here is more the exception than the norm anymore. Then when you add in castrated trucks, the new breed of steering wheel-holding monkeys, and the whole general "ME-ME-ME" society, and manners/courtesy in trucking is the endangered species we have now.
    Friggen sad......

Welcome to society 2015. Me me me me me. And to heck with you. Nice, isn't it? My mother would come outta the grave and, rightly, kick my butt if I conducted myself like that. The best way to honor her memory is to behave, come what may, how she raised me.

Well, I was at a job haulin concrete chunks in a transfer rig, this out of a 55 and older trailer park...
Been there a week talking to the night manager every morning. she says they party hard, lots of liquor and gambling...naked parties

Theres even a 'inner' mafia...They are the ones that hired me to take out the concrete for the shuffleboard courts, this in favor of 'bocce ball' courts..

Anyways, this experience made me look at retirement favorably...I know where I wanna go..i'll downgrade to a [IMG]and I'll have a matching mustang or raptor truck parked there..

Save money for food, gambling, drinking, pot habit etc etc

it is actually quite easy, to hate everyone. this way, one cannot be called out racist, prejudice, whatever.

it also cuts down, or stops in it's tracks, people wanting to borrow your hedge trimmers, lawn mower, crescent wrench. or ask to borrow some money.

gotta love the hate.....gotta live it.....

I agree with the other guys here. If I was in a slower truck with the situation I would have most likely stayed in the right lane and left the tanker yield like he is suppose to. If, in this situation, I was in your truck and did move over to let him on, I would have checked the mirror to move over and if I see he is going to pass on the right I just hold my line and ride out the left one until someone gives you a break to get back over.
