all that stopping...dear God almighty...
i can see the advice/training for a newbie, but this to me spells out irritated drivers itching to get on their way.
i suppose however, if one were to be involved in some sort of incident at the truck stop, this guy (or other safety guy) will continue to ask, "did you stop"..."did you stop"..."did you stop"..??? -
They get a 20 cent/mile bonus when they (solo) are dispatched 5,000 miles in a week that is 8 days long and can average 9 MPG in the prior month cycle and have fewer then 2 incidents in same month cycle. So, it's not too shabby working at CRE

I trained on a 10 speed at my school and ended up getting a 2016 auto Prostar after the truck I initially got was turned in as a sold truck.
Part of it is about MPG. I have averaged 7.9 to 8.3 after getting 7.3 for the first 22000 miles. Once it was broke in the MPG's shot up like a rocket. I drive for Roehl (63 mph governed). Airlines do the same thing for fuel economy because computers can fine tune more efficiently than we can.
Downside is that I would obviously have to take time to get back into being a decent double-clutcher if I needed to switch to a manual but it is easier around turns and in traffic (Chicago, anyone?).
Driving too fast around turns isn't about the transmission. It's about the driver making a mistake.Dreamboat Thanks this. -
Ok boss did not know it was such a touchy issue lol

"Those wage rates start at 0.25 per mile"
It still boggles my mind how they get anyone to work for them. Just another example of how (to me at least) CRE is the very bottom of the barrel.
