The rates are not good coming out. In most cases I pass by all the Florida freight and get up to Savannah. I can get the same rate or better and use less fuel. I can find a load to Charlotte out of Jacksonville and it will pay $600-700.. Then Ill find a load to Charlotte out of Savannah paying $800. Same route but less fuel since my loaded miles will be less as well.
South Florida flatbed loads.

The guy that parks his truck where I park mine has his truck and step for sale. Just retired back in April. Trying to talk him into selling me just his trailer. He's earned his retirement and sitting flush. So unless he finds a buyer for both soon.. I'm probably going to have to wait.
HurstChaoSS and Skate-Board Thank this. -
Ohio is a pretty good place for flatbed except when it comes to Florida. Landstar has this load posted.
Canfield, OH to Tampa, FL. 1,045 miles for $1.42 then you get a whopping $.97 cents to get out. -
