It's been awhile since I've been asked for a receipt over logs.. but .. come to think of it I wasn't on a 34.. However since I was asked,
I've assumed when one is asked doesn't matter.. the point is the officer wanted proof of.. so I keep receipts in the event it happens again..
elogs do show time and location's. If it fails and paper is required.. I don't mind providing a receipt if I've got one in possesion.. -
DOT has no phuking business how did you spent your time OFF. OFF meant not performing any duty. Did you slept in truck or in trailer or was spooning with nice guy in truck parked next to yours all this time is OFF DUTY.
Sleeper berth is for team drivers to show why driver Jonny Dick went to sleep in Chicago and came to any duty status in LA. He was sleeping in truck while his partner was driving. Otherwise you have to finish your duty and start after 10 at same geographical location. -
Oh. Duh. Okay yeah, I misunderstood the wording that was used.
Yeah, that I actually did know about.
I still say take two full days off though!
