Do you know when it was started last?
I would be worried about the liner o-rings,injectors sticking, wiring.
Looked at one a couple months ago,it had sat 5 years the liner o-rings were shot.

I run a 93 Pete 377 out of NC. I just added another owner operator going to get him rolling but plan to add another down the road. We have 3 trucks right now and 5 dry vans working on expanding.

if that B model has not turned over in 7 years do not try anything until you remove the nozzels and spray some lube in the cylinders and turn it over by hand 5 or 6 revolutions then crank starter till there is oil pressure reinstall nozzels then lite the fire and see what you have

If it hasn't been started in a few years, remove the intake pipe off the turbo and get a buddy to stand close by with a heavy piece of clean plywood or a piece of clean lumber bigger than the turbo. If the fuel pump has seized that engine will take right off and the only way to shut it down is to cut the air off.

Be aware that if the truck has been outside for a long time, the sun's UV rays wreak havoc on airlines and tires. You may even have some air valves stuck. My truck had the treadle valve seized to the floor when I bought it.

When they sit parked like that a long time it's harder on one than driving it 3,000 miles every week.

Assuming its in good shape you can't go wrong with a 12.7. Do a good thorough inspection on it and be prepared to get your hands dirty.

    Dwardell662 Thanks this.
