R.E. West is good outfit. Pay is on the low side and there's a lot of driver unload for the water-heaters. The suckiest thing is the the Driver facing cameras in the trucks. If you can deal with that, it's a good place to get experience. Trucks stay at the terminals for home time so you better live close by.

The only good thing I can say is that if you're in their hiring area, and DON'T have a CDL, they will train you with no contract. So, for those looking to get in the industry, here ya go. There was one guy that got his CDL through them and didn't show up again. Oh, and they will absolutely put stuff on your DAC. The training is short and sweet and they only keep the best. If you can't get the shifting and backing down fairly smooth within the first week, you won't be there for the 2nd week.

Yes the only thing it's good for is contract free CDL training and then to GTFO.
They pay terrible and once you get experience they don't reward you for what you're truly worth. -
Agreed. I was fortunate in that I was trained by the lead trainer. 5.5 million plus safe miles If I recall. He taught me more in 3 weeks than a whole lotta trainers will ever even know. I left because of the cameras and so did about 20 others last October when they put em in.

I worked for them 2 years ago. -
Been doing Class B local in the Mid TN area. Looking to get back OTR with Decker Truck Lines or Venture Logistics. Options are limited because of not having a CDL school certificate or recent OTR experience.

I respect you for not putting up with that camera garbage...Jokerwild Thanks this. -

They booted you real quick, they have cameras in their trucks and they have low pay but yet you're still wanna be with them. Go figure.
