Sounds like they finally started listening to drivers.

 

Was hoping to make it back Friday with my backhaul from Melrose Park, Illinois going to the Lowes in Garysburg NC, but traffic on I 95 was a beast and actually came down I 81 from my fuel stop in Hagerstown to avoid Balt/DC Nova traffic. But US 17 getting into Fredericksburg was a beast. Violated my 8 hour break by 15 min. Took me 38 min to go 3 miles. Shut down at the welcome center even though I still had 3 hours left on my 70. Friday pm traffic on I 95 just plain sux. Took a 12 hour break and left at 4am Sat. Traffic still none too light until I got past Richmond. Dropped my load and did a "favor" for my fleet leader by heading down to Kinston and picked up a load and dropped it at the Rocky Mount yard for another driver going to Enfield Ct. Came on home with my empty and head back out tomorrow morning.

 

Smurf, what are the other announcements coming out you were mentioning??

 

any limits on how often or how much ? do they have an "Approved Vendor's" list ?

 

Been at Claremont since Sunday evening for orientation. The more I see the more I like. The bunk rooms were full, so I'm at the Rodeway Inn. There's a pretty large group...larger than usual, I understand. I am thinking that I made a good choice for my first company. I keep waiting to hear about the Lot Lizard reimbursement, but I haven't heard anything yet?
