.15 UV not .01 UV .......And personly .15 UV is streching it .........on AM What is the point of that low a noise floor ?
I run very low noise receivers on VHF and .15UV is about all you can use at 144 or 440 mhz ....
The TS-2000 has a external pereamp running ablot a 1 DB NF and 20 db of gain ..... The preamp is behind the copper colored filter to the right of the radios.Attached Files:

QUOTE="Big_m, post: 2470601, member: 34203"]TX is transmit. And 10-15 miles is very good for TX & RX for a CB. Most CB's don't TX more than 5-10 miles.[/QUOTE]
I think you would be surprised how far 4 watts will transmit to my receiver with
-125 dB receiver sensitivity. 30 miles on flat ground or 15 miles in mountains seems average. Until you experience
-125db receive, that 5-10 miles would be about right but completely useless for my taste. -
Whatever became of Bruce?

Since he got his new test equipment he has been able to push boundaries even further down to .001uv =-167db on some model rigs. Every year he gets better and better at what he does while other technicians are playing catch up.
