ABS light confused

    Looking for a little info if anybody can help. I have a 2005 Pete with a 2005 trail king tri axle lowboy that I pull 95% of the time. The other 5% I pull a 2010 rented flat bed. Truck and lowboy together, no abs light on dash when starting. Truck (bobtail) no trailer, no abs light on dash when starting. Truck and flatbed, abs light on dash stays lit won't go out. I can hear all the clicks before starting just no flash of the abs dash light. Any ideas are appreciated.

    Check to see if the ABS light on this trailer is coming on or staying on at all.

    If I had to guess based on what info you've given I'd have to say it's a fault in the trailer ABS system. They should operate independently of one another and the trailer ABS is powered by I believe, but don't quote me, the center pin on the 7 way plug. This is so a non ABS truck can pull an ABS equipped trailer and vice versa.

    You are correct, the center pin (blue auxiliary wire) powers the trailer ABS. The secondary power comes from the bottom pin (red brake light wire).
