I didn't know you brokered now? We have been running up to OR/WA all summer... It's been difficult getting out! What freight do you work with up there? We have a reefer.
How to find shippers?

Did those apples ever start paying anything? I've been out of the produce game for several years, but back then when I did pull them it was garbage rates. 1.90 a mile or so back to Florida.

Does anybody here have any good broker connections for flatbed freight that just runs around the northeast (primarily New England) region that someone could be happy with? Mainly Mass., NH, Ct., RI, Vt., upstate NY....

Very competitive industry. You should have worked as agent first -
not sure if its worth mentioning but ill do it anyway. ran across an ad on craigslist on someone from a company looking for freight wanting to form a partnership. scouring load boards not wanted.

Sometimes it may be helpful to partner with carriers when you start off so they can help fulfill your capacity. Give them good deals and they help cover your freight. Finding good carriers is the hardest part. Finding owner ops and carriers that you can rely on to handle your customer's freight is key. I may know some carriers in the bay area that may be able to help you out. PM and I'll try to get you guys connected.
BayAreaBroker Thanks this.
