you haul a lot of shredded paper? If so then I can see why the brooms brake.I had a couple brk myself from sweeping up that heavy paper.I would suggest going to a janitor supply company.Walmart brooms are designed for household like kitchens same with trk stops.

Don't take crap low paying loads like shredded paper and it won't be a big deal. Only thing I sweep out is the broken pallet pieces. And I sweep them right into the dock.
Upright Thanks this. -
I use a straw house broom, they're usually provided by shipping/receiving, if needed it's followed by a push broom I picked up at Johnsons Corner.. Ive had it almost four years now. I take it apart an slip under the bunk, the head, after dusting out goes in a plastic bag however, they do land at the house and break shortly after if allowed.
You're hard on brooms sir... -
Always one on every thread....even a silly "broom" thread.
I have two major paper companies in my area...and scrap paper is a pretty good "go home" load from anywhere in the Midwest. As long as the truck makes a little money, and I make a little money---I am going home. Nothing wrong with that.
And you do not sweep your pallet pieces onto the docks.
As far as "brooms" go; I have used expensive ones, and I have used cheap ones...have never broken one. So I guess I have no preference or advice. -
I do that now. Mostly at walmart dcs. I leave all thier garbage on the dock plate. Its thier crap anyway.HorseShoe Thanks this.

Read it this time, I said crap paying loads. You even admitted it, saying "little money" and you nullify that with your home time. I do sweep my broken pallet pieces onto the docks. Not everyones a sissy. It's their junk and no1 has ever questioned me
